Knitting mahem
So I bought a bunch of gender neutral yarn to make a baby blanket but didn't like how it was crocheting. Fresh from knitting longies for Samuel, I decided to knit a baby blanket instead. Then I saw the nursery colors and it doesn't match the greatest and the colors I would really like would cost over $100 to make the blanket. I started a pair of booties but made a major error and have to rip most of the first one apart.... ugh. So I am left with a lot of yarn and am still not sure what to do! As the nice person at the yarn store said, "I knit therefore I rip." Too true. I hope Darn Knit Anyway will let me return 5 of the 6 skeins I purchased!

As long as the skeins of yarn aren't started Darn Knit Anyway (ha, ha) should return them. I am (or used to be) an avid hat and scarf knitter always wanting to try socks and sweaters. Haven't made it yet. But did make one baby blanket years ago (used acrylic and therefore affordable and washable!) yarn. Making the same one for Avery...almost finished but she was early, so her blanket is late. ;) Good luck with your projects!
ReplyDeleteThis is horrible to admit, but only one of my three kids (Audrey) has a crocheted blanket made by me and that was only because I had a bunch of extra yarn from a previous baby blanket. I found a cute baby sweater pattern that looks great with the yarn so I will at least have a use for the skein I started.
